Cancellation / No-Show Policy
Your flexibility is our priority, but fairness is key.
At Elite Car Rental, we understand that plans can change. That’s why we’ve designed a transparent cancellation policy that balances guest flexibility with the time and resources involved in reserving your chosen vehicle.
Guest Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your reservation via our website, mobile app, or by contacting our support team directly. The cancellation will take effect immediately upon confirmation.
Free Cancellation Window
Cancel at least 24 hours before your trip starts to receive a full refund.
If your reservation was made less than 24 hours before the trip starts, you have 1 hour after booking to cancel free of charge.
Non-Refundable Bookings
Some trips may be available at a special discounted, non-refundable rate. These will be clearly labeled during the booking process. Once booked, no cancellations or refunds will be issued for these reservations.
Early Returns
Returning a vehicle earlier than planned?
Refunds or credits will not be issued for early returns unless you’ve formally requested a trip modification and we’ve approved it.
If accepted, standard cancellation fees may apply (see below).
Guest Cancellation Fees
Fees apply when cancellations are made after the free period has passed:
Trips longer than 2 days: Charged one full day’s rental rate.
Trips of 2 days or less: Charged 50% of one day’s rental rate.
All associated fees (delivery, insurance, and extras) are included in the full trip cost.
Additional driver fees will be fully refunded.
Flight Delays & Cancellations – We Understand
We know travel delays happen. If your flight is delayed or canceled:
Notify us at least 12 hours before your scheduled pickup.
Provide valid documentation (e.g., screenshot of your airline delay/cancellation).
If we’re unable to adjust the pickup time, a full refund will be issued.
If flight issues are reported more than 3 days in advance, or if notice isn’t given on time, our standard cancellation policy applies.
No-Show Policy
Your time slot and vehicle are held exclusively for you. If you fail to appear without proper notice:
A 30-minute grace period applies at pickup.
After 30 minutes with no communication, the reservation is marked as a no-show and canceled.
Fees for No-Shows
Trips 2 days or less: Charged 100% of one day’s rental rate.
Trips longer than 2 days: Charged two full days’ rental rate.
Invalid Pickup Documentation
If you arrive without:
A valid driver’s license
A valid credit or debit card
Or provide broken/expired credentials
This will also be treated as a no-show, and the appropriate fee will apply.
Modification After Booking
If you request to change your trip after the free cancellation period, the original cancellation terms and fees still apply.
Elite Car Rental-Initiated Cancellations
In rare cases, we may cancel a reservation due to:
Fraud prevention
Trust & safety concerns
Vehicle unavailability due to unforeseen events
If we cancel, a full refund will be issued to you immediately, and you’ll be notified via email or phone.
Refund Process
All refunds will be made to your original payment method.
Refunds are processed within 3–5 business days, but may take up to 15 days depending on your bank or provider.
